Dashboards are perfect to consolidate results and present them in a concise way. KPIs are closely measured and frequently checked. As can be expected from comma, we deliver efficient dashboards on your website’s results and online marketing campaigns within a clear framework.

comma’s experienced digital marketeers have been testing many platforms and tools that create dashboards. Following a market analysis, we came up with a list of 60 tools and filtered it down to three final tools on the basis of hard parameters on content, user-friendliness and adaptability. Below is our final shortlist of readily available dashboarding tools: Google Data Studio, Klipfolio and Clicdata. However, if you must ask, we prefer to use our data-driven custom dashboard.

Our dashboarding tools shortlist

1. Google Data Studio

Google Data Studio is a free tool by – obviously – Google. It is quite an extensive tool that easily reads and filters data from Google, Google Analytics and Google Ads. To start off, you can choose from available templates that you can update yourself consequently.

2. Klipfolio

Klipfolio is a comprehensive tool with allows you to configure quite a lot yourself and contains many additional features. This dashboard is easy to share with others such as customers and is good value for money.

3. Clicdata

Clicdata is quite an extensive tool which you can adjust a lot yourself. On the downside, it is fairly labour-intensive to create a dashboard with this tool and is also much more expensive than Klipfolio.

Do more with our custom-made data-driven dashboard

At comma, brand strategists we prefer to collect all the exact data that you need and process this manually into a self-made dashboard that is exactly right for you.

Experts insight

Why? After testing more than 60 tools, we came to the conclusion that not a single tool actually compiles the numbers, insights and interpretations of our current dashboard. We filter out all data from Google Analytics & Google Search Console, and connect all the right correlations and associations between the different aspects of digital marketing. We link organic and paying internet traffic, the online marketing campaigns and the website’s clout.

Comprehensive tool

We opt for an umbrella overview of all digital marketing platforms: website (Google Analytics, Google Search Console), e-mailings (Mailchimp), social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook …), advertisements (Google Ads, ads on social media), Hotjar … Many platforms only have a limited API, meaning only a small amount of data is passed on to tools, making it insufficient for proper analysis. It is, for example, difficult to obtain useful data from social media ads.

Tailor-made for the customer

In addition, we can work hands-on, more flexible and fully tailored to the customer’s needs. As our team works on a monthly basis for this dashboard, numbers can be monitored better. We switch quickly and always aim for optimal results for our customers.

A beautiful representation of data is nice to have but data should always be interpreted by comparing and contrasting different platforms. Exactly what most other tools lack!

New in 2021

From 2021, we have updated the look of our dashboard and optimizes some parts. This allows for a clear overview of data that are most relevant to you and focusses on your most important online channels.

These are the highlights of our updated dashboard: a smooth comparison of organic and paying keywords, for LinkedIn not just the company page data but also an analysis and growth of a core team’s personal page with monthly check-ups and to do’s.
